THE "HELSTON SCHOOL JAZZ ORCHESTRA".
- I attach information concerning the forthcoming concerts in Torrevieja by the HELSTON SCHOOL JAZZ ORCHESTRA from Cornwall, England. This unique, award-winning band is made up from student musicians who attend the Helston Secondary School in Cornwall.
The musicians are aged betwen 14 and 18 years but their standard of music belies their tender age. They offer an extensive repertoire of music, principally in the 'BIG BAND' style and include in their ranks some very talented solo singers. All concerts are free except for those who wish to enjoy the comfortable seating of Torrevieja's municipal theatre and support the Alzheimer's Association with a token 3 euros donation on SUNDAY 1st AUGUST at 21.00h. (advance tickets from the municipal ticket office, or "at the door" if still available).
THE HELSTON SCHOOL JAZZ ORCHESTRA” will also perform as follows:
SATURDAY 31st July, (approx. 19.30h) in the Jardin de las Naciones (as part of the “Baile de las Naciones” event).
SUNDAY 1st August, 21.00h in the TEATRO MUNICIPAL. Admission 3 euros in aid of the ALZEIMERS ASSOCIATION AFA. (tickets available at the door).
MONDAY 2nd August, 22.30h along the seafront promenade “Juan Aparicio” (artificial swimming pools).
WEDNESDAY 4th August, 22.30h in the Plaza de Embarcadero, La Mata (just off the main square).
