Carnaval de Aguilas 2012

Hello Everyone,
The committee have asked me to organise one last event for "retirement". I have carried out a trawl of events that are unusual as we all seem to have been everywhere locally.
I suggest the Carnaval in Aguilas which is south of Mazzaron on the coast and is world famous as the alternative to the Rio de Janiero carnaval.
The coach would pick up mostly at Quesada arches at about 17.30 and take about 1 1/2 hours to travel to our destination. There is seating along the entire route of the parade and they are tiered so you should be able to see everything from any row of seats. There is more than adequate eating and drinking facilities and there is a beautiful beach area to explore before the show starts. Return trip would be pick up at midnight and return in about the same 1 1/2 hours.
The whole trip is a mere 12 euros.
I will have a poster and list for names at the December meeting.

Further to above My leaving the date of the proposed trip out was a device to prompt some
response, so far it has been negligible. Ok let me know if you think you would
like to go for this carnaval de Aguilas. Bearing in mind it is an evening do and
you will not return home until after 1.30 hrs. Full details will be put on the
notice board and the date is Saturday 25th February
